Purchases via Price Quote

Who can order using the price quote process?

Price quotes are only designed for use by bookstores and academic institutions wishing to order bulk quantities of access codes. Single students or individuals may not use the price quote system. The minimum order quantity for this process is 5 codes for a price quote.

How do price quotes work?

Price quotes are merely a form of documentation and do not initiate an order on their own. Typically they are used in order to provide documentation to a purchasing department in order to generate a PO or allow the normal bulk purchasing process to proceed. In this case the bookstore or academic institution would order directly with our reseller FastSpring as outlined in our bulk ordering documentation.

Alternatively, price quotes can be used by our support team to manually place an order with FastSpring on behalf of the bookstore or academic institution. Most often this is for sales tax purposes, but there can be other situations where we would need our support team to place a manual order.

If you would like our support team to manually place an order based off of a quote, all you would need to do is either email our support team directly at hostedsupport@netdevgroup.com (identifying your quote number) or respond to the support ticket that the price quote generates. Please note that the NDG Online support team may request additional information (such as sales tax exemption paperwork) before we are able to proceed.

Manual orders typically take 2 to 3 business days to process, but may take longer in certain situations. If possible, NDG recommends starting this process at least a week in advance of when codes will be needed.

What do I do if I make a mistake on a price quote?

If you make a mistake on a price quote or wish to make any changes, feel free to submit another request if needed. Price quotes are not binding and you can make as many quote requests as necessary.

How are access codes distributed?

After the order is submitted and approved, a list of access codes will be emailed to the address provided during the ordering process, there are no physical components to ship. NDG may require that payment be completed before access codes are generated.

How long is the course access?

Unless otherwise noted in the ordering process and lab page, each access code allows one individual unlimited access* for six months. The six months begins when the access code is activated. Participation may require academic verification when enrolling.  Codes expire after one year if not claimed.

What is the refund policy?

Codes that have not been claimed may be refunded within six months of the purchase date.

How can I request a refund?

  1. Find the email receipt you received from fastspring.com when you purchased course access. Identify the “order number” listed on the email from fastspring.com.  
  2. Email hostedsupport@netdevgroup.com with subject “Refund request”. List the order number and course access code or codes for which you are requesting a refund.  Please note: Each listed course access code will be disabled upon refund approval.  Briefly describe your reason for requesting a refund.
  3. Once approved, your refund request will be processed by FastSpring.

Are there any discounts for bulk purchases?

Unfortunately NDG is unable to offer any discounts for bulk purchases or purchases for resale.

How are payments processed?

All payments for the NDG Online are handled by our payment processor FastSpring.  Purchasers having difficulty with payment may wish to contact FastSpring directly by going to their contact page here:

How to I obtain a W-9?

FastSpring is the vendor of record for the sale for all purchases, and NDG does not sell access codes directly.  You can find a copy of the completed W-9 on FastSpring's Request for Taxpayer (W-9) form, which can be found here:

VAT information for EU customers?

FastSpring is a United States-based seller of digital goods.  EU laws require FastSpring to charge VAT Tax (sales tax) on purchases of electronically delivered products for buyers based in the European Union.  FastSpring is required to charge VAT Tax at the VAT rate of the buyer's country.  For more information, please refer to:

When do we receive the access codes?

Access codes are normally distributed upon confirmation of payment completion. Codes may be distributed before payment completion at the discretion of the NDG Online Support team.
