Accessibility
NDG takes steps to make all NDG content accessible as possible in accordance with standards set by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). Unfortunately there are some technical limitations that prevents full support from being reached.
The VNC protocol used by virtual machines do not have any ability to transmit sound back to the client device. This precludes the use of screen readers and any other accessibility options that rely on sound. This is an inherent technical limitation for how the virtual machines function.
Some industry standard tools and software taught as in NDG course content do not conform to modern accessibility guidelines. Physical hardware and systems found in the real world would also share these same limitations. This includes software and systems with only CLI (command line interface) access and no GUI (graphical user interface). Some devices and software also do not support any third-party accessibility software. Again, these would be limitations to the materials covered, and not specific to NDG or our services.
VPAT
NDG has commissioned an independent review of the NDG Portal and NDG Online services. You can find a PDF of the VPAT Version 2.4 WCAG Edition report here:
